The aim of our weekend for you!:

Starting again after a number of years, Chris Cozens and Cheryl Sayers, invite you to join us on a fun, feel-good weekend of discovery. This is a great opportunity to reverse stressed (back-to-front) into desserts in one weekend!

The idea was born shortly after Cheryl and I met back in 1998 and we began these weekends in 1999, running twice a year with groups of between 20 and 40 people. Our weekend location was moved to Leiston Abbey after we discovered it’s magic and potential that would complement our idea of running a taster weekend retreat with a difference.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend a weekend with like-minded people, exploring and experiencing ways to enhance your lifestyle? Well now you can, and at a refreshingly affordable price, thanks to Life Arts. Spend a weekend being guided by experienced practitioners and teachers in an informal and friendly atmosphere in the tranquil, relaxing and magical grounds of Leiston Abbey, set in the Suffolk countryside.

Enjoy experiencing taster workshops including Yoga, Tai Chi, Creative Art, African Drumming and Personal Development. Treat yourself to pamper sessions, discover your destiny with a reading or simply enjoy wandering around the peaceful grounds and gardens.

WORKSHOPS

YOGA FOR FITNESS

Yoga is a unique combination of dynamic breathing and strong flowing movement, which create high-heat, high energy, low impact workout. Based on the classical and original yoga system of Hatha Yoga, it is a sequence of postures that flow into one another, building strength, unwinding tight joints, and lengthening muscles. Relaxation is achieved through bringing the consciousness inward during postures and sequences. Emphasis is based on the “hard” and “soft” to create the balance. Please wear comfortable clothing for ease of movement and bring a suitable mat to lay on.

Using visualisation, postural integration and analysis we will discover how movement exhibits our inner feelings and how Tai Chi can help to balance our physical, mental and emotional being.  Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and abilities. Please wear comfortable clothing for ease of movement.
